The Buffalo Bills have cut OG Derrick Dockery, a 3rd round pick of the Redskins who began his career in Washington and left for a gigantic contract. I supported letting Dockery go because I thought he was a pretty good guard who had received a deal from Buffalo that he would never, if he lived to be 10,000 years old, could live up to. Predictably, he didn’t and now he’s back on the market. If I was running the Redskins front office [and I'm not, these guys are running it], I’d have Dockery’s agent on the phone right now. Dockery isn’t a great guard and he’ll never be in the elite. However, he’s pretty good and knows how to play next to LT Chris Samuels. If Dockery can be acquired for a reasonable contract, I’d jump on it. He fills a need.
