Mocking the Draft, New Poll is Up!

AUTHOR: | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet |

Stafford still reigns, but barely. The NFL Mock Draft Database has a new poll up.  We also have the prior poll results, right here.  First, the Database update.
The NFL Mock Draft Database now has 120 mock drafts listed for the 2009 NFL Draft.  Of the 120 Mocks, 68 have been updated since the turn of 2009.  Of those 68, 28 have been updated over the last 5 days.  Some good updates going on.
For trend purposes, we are only going to include the Mock Drafts in our Stats here that have been updated since the turn of the new year, January 1.   There are some consensus starting to build with the most recent mock drafts.
Here are the top popular choices for the 1st overall pick by the Detroit Lions . . .
QB Matt Stafford: 26 Mocks, QB Sam Bradford:  24 Mocks, OT Andre Smith:  10 Mocks, OT Michael Oher:  3 Mocks
Here are the popular choices for the 2nd overall pick, St. Louis Rams . . .
OT Andre Smith:  41 Mocks, OT Michael Oher:  12 Mocks, OT Euegene Monroe:  7 Mocks, WR Michael Crabtree:  3 Mocks
Pretty big consensus that the Rams will go Offensive Tackle, particularly given the fact they really wanted Chris Long last year.
Now, how about the Washington Redskins, 13th overall pick?  Let me disclaim here.  This is the belief of the mock drafts.  I still believe, especially given the fact Washington only has 4 draft picks, given the fact Snyder/Cerrato (Snyderatto) traded down pretty successfully last draft (not successful in who they picked, but successful in picking up additional selections), I think the Redskins will trade out of 13th pick.  But,. given that, there still is not a consensus, but of the very latest mocks, OT Jason Smith seems to be a favorite here, and personally, that is great with me!
Here is a look at what the Mocks believe the Redskins will select, position wise:  Offensive Line:  25 Mocks, Defensive Line:  23 Mocks, Linebacker: 12 mocks Again, very logical given the team needs, but no one ever said the Washignton Redskins front office was full of logic.
Poll time.
Our first poll on the Mock Draft Database was who you felt would be the first Offnesive Tackle taken in the NFL Draft.  Here are your results (and thanks so much for the awesome response!):
Andre Smith:  76%
Michael Oher:  18%
Eugene Monroe:  5%
Now it is your turn again.  A new poll is up . . .
