What the hell?
#26 scored?  You have got to be kidding me, and how timely is that.
D Shaone Morrisonn took a deflected pass from a skate and boomed it past New York Ranger goalie Henrik Lundqvist to lift the Capitals to a 5-4 incredible come from being overtime winner.  It was Morrisonn’s first goal since February 26.

The game did not start off promising for the Capitals or goalie Jose Theodore, starting for an ill Brent Johnson.  The Ranger scored 3 times in the first period on goals by Marcus Naslund a little over 3 minutes into the game.  then a little over the 11 minute mark Michal Rozsival struck to make it 2-0 followed by Ryan Callahan just 11 seconds later to give the Rangers a stunning 3-0 lead. Caps out shot the Ranger 9-8 in the first period.
The Ranger would go up 4-0 on Ryan Callahan’s second goal of the night 4:48 into the second period.  After that, it was all Caps starting with a weird looking hurl that curved in and hit the pipe right over Lundqvist head by Alexander Ovechkin.  The assist went to Nicklas Backstrom.  That cut the deficit to 4-1 at the end of the second period.  Caps out shot the Rangers 14-12 in the second.
It was all Caps in the third period.  Tomas Fleischmann scored his 12th goal of the season on the power play less than two minutes into the thir dperiod to cut the lead to 4-2.  Fleischmann was assisted by Backstrom and Brooks Laich.    Victor Kozlov brought the Capitals to within one, netting his 8th goal on a power play.  Kozlov took a pass right up the middle on Lunqvist, who had no shot.
Mr. Ovechkin struck again to tie the game on a knock down with his hand, right back to him and a straight  one on one with Lunqvist.  Ovie faked Lunqvist out and scored to his right to lead the Capitals back to a 4-4 tie, stunning the New York crowd to silence.  It was Ovie’s 2nd goal of the game, third point, and 22 goal of the season.
Jose Theodore finished for the win, stopping 21 of 25 shots.
