As part of their ongoing linebacker-practice squad fun ride, the Redskins have signed LB Brandon Archer to replace LB Steve Octavien, who was signed to the active roster by the Dallas Cowboys. Archer is a 25-year-old from Kansas State who spent most of last season filling in for the Indianapolis Colts. Archer is on the smallish side for a linebacker, standing only 6 feet tall and weighing 230 pounds. [None of this should matter to you.]
