The Washington Bullets, in their first game under new head coach Eddie Tapscott, defeated the Golden State Warriors, in the Phone Booth, 124-100. The Bullets were led by Caron Butler who scored 35 points and shot 13 for 19 from the field. Butler also hit 75%, 3 of 4, from three point range.
The Bullets also got some nice offensive help from Antawn Jamison and Andray Blatche. Jamison was 11 for 20 from the field, pouring in 25 points and 18 rebounds, while Blatche came off the bench to score 25 and grab 17 rebounds. Rookie first round pick JaVale McGee sunk 14 points and 9 rebounds
The win for the Bullets snapped a 5 game losing streak and avoided what coudl have been the worst 12 game start in franchise history.
