CB Chris Horton: PLUS — Umm, when a 7th round draft pick is asked to start the day of the game, his NFL debut start, and he proceeds to recover a fumble and pick off two passes and earn NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors, I think we can give him a plus. Just our opinion though. Fact is for Horton, I love the way he played, beyond just turnovers. Horton made those turnovers because he was in the place to make the plays. Horton was all over the field and has good speed. Playmakers make plays and that is what Horton did. Remember — back to pre-season when he accumulated 2 sacks in the opener — and some of us, including me, though, hey, maybe it was just luck. Well, the thing is with Horton, he executes gets the job done, and makes plays. As bad as the Skins have been the past two years in turnover creation, if it is just luck, I want Horton’s luck on the field. Reed Doughty returns to the starting lineup, but we here at DCPSR disagree with the move. Horton has that edge and knack to be a good safety in this League. Sooner or later, Doughty will be displaced anyway, so let’s just move it up. Horton was recognized here earlier in the week for a Thumbs Up and now moves up to PLUS.
