WR James Thrash and WR Malcolm Kelly both sprained ankles yesterday against the New Orleans Saints. Thrash is wearing a walking boot right now so we shouldn’t expect to see him playing again any time soon. Kelly injured himself on his first catch and came out of the game. He is, at best, questionable for the Sunday game against Arizona. That leaves WR Devin Thomas as the only backup wideout on the active roster. Head Coach Jim Zorn could activate WR Devin Aromashadu from the practice squad. Aromashadu caught 7 passes for 96 yards as a rookie for the Indianapolis Colts last season.
Thrash is a warrior who will return as quickly as possible. Kelly seems to be constantly hurt and even optimists must be wondering if he is strong enough to withstand the rigors of an NFL season.
