Ok, time to kill the rumors that Michael Nylander may leave the Caps. You know, the rumors because his house in Potomac was up for sale. Thanks to Tarik at the Post, Nylander has responded.
The veteran center confirmed moments ago that his Potomac home was put on the market, but he also was quick to say the sale has nothing to do with his status with the Caps. In fact, he said, the Nylanders are probably going to end up keeping the house.
“My wife thought that [Potomac] was too far away,” Nylander said. “She wanted to be closer to things, in Georgetown. But we’re here now. I’m happy where I am, but my wife wanted to move. But I think we are going to convince her to stay [in Potomac] because it’s good for our [six] kids, a good area to go to school and play hockey. If we move downtown, maybe not.”
