It looked awful. It looked a heckuva lot worse than it appears to be. Indeed, Redskins Nation, held a deep breath when #55 winced in pain, lying on the field, with team trainers surround him. Not only did the Redskins obtained Taylor after losing starting DE Phillip Daniels for the season, but Taylor is a sack machine, giving the Redskins their first hope at double sacks for both defensive ends in nearly 8 seasons.
But, it wasn’t like others, Taylor got up and limped off the field with assistance, a cart was not brought onto the field, good sign number one. Second, the initial x-rays were negative, good sign number 2.
Word out of Redskins Park now is the MNRI showed a sprain, and that Taylor will likely be shelved for only 10 to 14 days. Great, great news considering the way the injury looked when it happened.
So there you have it. Taylor out for likely 2 weeks.
