What do you want from preseason game 4?

AUTHOR: | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet |

This Saturday is preseason game #4 for the Redskins, but for every other team [apart from the Indianapolis Colts], this weekend will be their third preseason game. It’s usually considered the most noteworthy — or only noteworthy — preseason game. Teams generally play their healthy starters at least 2 quarters in this game and may actually work in one or two plays they hope to use during the regular season. They will not game plan for their opponent, though — that’s just not done in the preseason at all. It will be the most scrutinized preseason game for every team in the NFL — the one fans and the media will use to draw conclusions about how good the team is going into the regular season. Those conclusions may be totally without merit — they often are — but it will happen anyway. It always does.
So what are you looking for from preseason game 4 from the Washington Redskins? Here is what I’m looking for, in order of importance:
1. No injuries;
2. Jason Campbell directs at least one scoring drive;
3. Starting defense gets at least one sack against the starting Carolina offense;
4. Carlos Rogers & Rocky McIntosh look a lot better than they did last Saturday;
5. See #1.
Discuss it in Redskins Park with other DC sports fans!
