The Redskins are back at practice this morning. Well, most of them are. Safties Kareem More and Laron Landry, as well as DEs Chris Wilson and Erasmus James are not practicing. Landry, Wilson and James are working with trainers as they rehab their injuries.
The point of today’s practicing is to get ready for Saturday’s scrimmage, where they will do some live hitting and start running their actual plays. It will be a full contact scrimmage, apart from a prohibition on hitting QBs Jason Campbell and Todd Collins. Since the offense has changed much more than the defense, expect the D to be a bit ahead of the O at this early date. Each unit should get 20-30 repetitions. The Skins play the Indianapolis Colts on August 3 in Canton, Ohio, the Hall of Fame game.
