Harrisburg Senators (AA) completed a 4 game sweep of the Bowie Baysox last night, winning 3-2. Super pitching prospect Jordon Zimmerman tossed a gem, though walked away with no decision. Zimmerman pitched 7 strong inning, giving up 1 run, allowing just 3 hits and whiffing 9 batters. Talk all you want about Ross Detwiler, but to me, Zimmerman, Columbus’ Marco Estrada, and Harrisburg’s Adrian Alaniz are the top pitcher in the system, with Craig Stammen gaining ground quickly.
The hot bat of Garrett Guzman (.306) provide the offensive pop again, going 4 for 5 with a double and 3 RBis. Marvin Lowrance was 2 for .
