Gilbert Arenas told Ivan Carter of The Washington Post that he has filed the necessary papers to opt out of the final year of his contract with the Washington Bullets and will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. He has no plans to meet with other teams and says he is 75% sure he will be back in Washington next season.
In other Bullets news, the team continues its workout of draft prospects by bringing in Mario Chalmers (Kansas), Chris Douglas-Roberts (Memphis), Richard Hendrix (Alabama), Courtney Lee (Western Kentucky), Charles Rhodes (Miss State) and Rodrique Beaubois of France.
