Ultimate NBA Mock Draft Listing, Beasley Falls to Second

AUTHOR: | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet |

The DC Pro Sports Report NBA Mock Draft Database boasts a new high number, now 99 total mock drafts listed.  Just click the tab on the top. We have of course added more mocks, but also there have been a rather large number of mock draft produce updates since the start of June.
One of the main aspects we have watched develop is the battle between Michael Beasley and Derrick Rose for the first overall slot.  Since the Database began updating for 2008, Beasley has set at the top overall, consensus wise.  That is no longer true.  For the first time this season, Derrick Rose now takes over the lead as the projected number one pick in the NBA Draft.  Here are the numbers:
1.  Derrick Rose:  48 Mocks
2.  Michael Beasley:  45 Mocks
The results are similar for the second overall spot.  It was a flip.  Beasley now leads as the second choice fofthe draft with 50 mocks projecting him 2nd overall, while 45 have Rose going second.  4 Mocks are brave and have OJ Mayo taking second.
Brook Lopez once dominated the consensus choice as third overall.  Last update, Lopez had 58 Mocks projecting him 3rd overall, he is now down to 50, the beneficiary — OJ Mayo.  Several mocks, including some of our highly regarded ones, are beginning to forecast OJ Mayo going third overall.  Last updated article in May (remember, we update the Mock Database every day or every other day) had only 11 mocks having Mayo going third.  That number jumped to now 29 mocks picking Mayo third.  Meanwhile, Jerryd Bayless had 15 mocks taking third overall, he has fallen to 6.  We also welcome Danmilo Gallinari into the picture with two mocks projecting him 3rd overall.
The consensus for the home town Washington Bullets (DCPSR does not recognize the name ‘Wizards’) does not exist.  Mocks have jumped around on who the Bullets will likely pick at 18.  The four top choices are C Kosta Koufos, C JaVale McGee, F Donte Green, and F Marrissee Speights.  The battle however is shaping up between Koufos and McGee.
In addition, for you NHL hockey fans out there, we did some updating of our NHL Mock Database over the weekend, added 3 Mocks, bringing the total mocks to 20.  Unlike the NBA, there is absolutely no question who the first pick in the NHL draft will be, Tampa Bay will select Steve Stamkos.  Consensus is also strong that Drew Doughty will be taken second overall.
As always, you have a mock or no one not listed, simply drop us an email.  Our email address is on the right column of the main page.
And finally, we ENCOURAGE your comments here.  Feel free to add your comment on the Beasley/Rose fight for 1sdt overall, the Lopez/Mayo fight for third,  who you think the Bullets will pick, or ANY draft comment you may have.
