Nationals signed IF Pokey Reese to increase depth in Columbus (AAA). Injury to Peter Orr and retirement of Bret Boone required the Nationals to bolster the infield depth. Reese has not played in the majors since 2004.
Don’t look for Ryan Zimmerman in the Nats lineup on Monday. Zimmerman has a very minor shoulder soreness and will take the day off to rest it. Aaron Boone will take over at third for Zimmerman.
