Interesting tidbit on the live online chat at the Washington Post today with Tarik. When asked if Pothier or Chris Clark would be ready anytime soon, here is Tarik’s response …
As for Pothier, I’m hearing it’s bad and that he’s not getting much better. It’s probably premature to say he’s done, but that’s definitely on the minds of folks in the front office.
Pothier left after the second period of a 2-0 loss on January 3 sustaining an upper body injury, not commonly believed to be a concussion. Pothier was drilled along the sideboards by Milan Lucic.
UPDATE: Other Topics covered by Tarik in the chat.
We like Tarik’s enthusiasm and optimism.
Regardless of tonight’s outcome, I think the Caps and their fans can rest assured knowing that they’ve got a team that should be able to make a run for the Cup — soon.
And we concur. They are young, energetic, and can be a very powerful team. What’s even better — this team will not have playoff experience under its belt.
On the loss of Knuble for Philly …
Absolutely huge. Knuble had at least one point Games 1-4, including a big time 2OT winner. He’s also the guy who stands in front of the net on the PP.
Read it all, good read.
