Goodbye Joe Motzko, welcome back Alexandre Giroux. To wrap up a whirlwind of huge Capital trade deadline deals, this minor one sent Joe Motzko, from the Hershey Bears, to the Atlanta Thrashers in exchange for for Alexandre Giroux, who was with the Capitals last season in Hershey. Giroux led the Hershey Bears in scoring and goals scored to help lead the Bears to a trip to the Calder Cup. Welcome back Alexandre.
